Position: Sales Representative-FMCG
Location: Littoral, Centre and North-West Cameroon
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven, and proactive Sales Representative-FMCG for one of our clients, to develop their commercial presence in the Littoral, Centre and North-West region of Cameroon. The ideal candidate will be play a key role in the company’s expansion in the region by ensuring rigorous follow-up, active prospecting, excellent customer relationships in order to achieve sales targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring strong market penetration of products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Representative will be responsible for the following:
1. Business Development
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets in the designated region.
- Develop new markets and increase commercial coverage.
- Identify, prospect, and convert new clients including retailers, wholesalers, convenience stores, and distributors.
- Ensure optimal product visibility, availability, and rotation at all points of sale.
2. Customer Management and Loyalty
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and propose actions to increase customer loyalty.
- Address customer needs, complaints, and suggestions professionally and promptly.
3. Market Analysis and Reporting
- Collect key information on competitors, pricing, market trends, and growth opportunities.
- Submit regular sales and market reports to management to guide commercial strategy.
- Analyze sales performance by area, product, and customer type to inform decision-making.
4. Sales Administration
- Conduct regular inventories and prepare accurate stock reports at points of sale.
- Monitor customer accounts, reconcile payments, and maintain up-to-date records.
- Perform other commercial tasks as required to support sales operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Min of HND degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Min 5 years of proven professional experience in sales.
- Prior experience with a major FMCG company in Cameroon is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the North-West market and distribution channels is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Strong team spirit and collaborative skills.
- Ability to analyze and understand regional market dynamics.
- Highly proactive, target-driven, and autonomous.
- Organized, rigorous, and able to perform under pressure.
