Poste proposé : Internal Auditor – Yaoundé

The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, governance processes, and compliance within the organization. The role involves conducting audits, identifying operational and financial risks, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans.
  • Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and special audits across the organization.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and business processes.
  • Review financial records, transactions, and operational activities for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and areas of risk exposure.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Assess organizational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to corporate governance standards and ethical practices.
  • Support management in strengthening risk management frameworks.

Reporting and Recommendations

  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Present audit results and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain accurate audit documentation and working papers.

Process Improvement

  • Recommend improvements to operational efficiency, financial controls, and business processes.
  • Assist departments in developing action plans to address audit findings.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Profil recherché pour le poste : Internal Auditor – Yaoundé

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CISA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience using audit software and data analytics tools is an advantage.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
