Position: Construction Manager

Industry: Electrical Engineering / Construction

Location: Extreme north, Cameroon 

Contract Type: Project-based

Salary : 600 000 – 750 000 XAF 

Education & Qualification

• Bac +5 / Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other recognized equivalent diploma.
• OR Bac +2 with minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in similar works (HTA/BT network, transformers, etc.).

Experience Required

• Overall: Minimum 10 years (or 15 years if Bac +2).
• Specific: At least 3 years (or 5 years if Bac +2) in similar works such as:
  • HTA/BT electrical networks
  • Transformer installation and maintenance
  • Power distribution systems

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical expertise in electrical and electromechanical works.
• Proven experience in managing large construction/electrical projects.
• Leadership and team management abilities as site chief/resident engineer.
• Ability to ensure compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site electrical works (HTA/BT, transformers, distribution).
• Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to design, quality, and deadlines.
• Lead and oversee site teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and progress reporting to management.
