River Cleanup Cameroon is an organisation committed to fighting plastic pollution and protecting rivers in Cameroon, particularly the Wouri River

As part of strengthening its operations, River Cleanup Cameroon is currently recruiting for the following position: Admin & Finance Officer

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the fight against plastic pollution? River Cleanup Cameroon (RCCam) is on a mission to clean the Wouri River, and we are looking for an Admin & Finance Officer (AFO) to help us streamline our operations and keep things running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone dynamic, organised, and ready to dive into.

Key responsibilities

  • Financial management & accounting: Handle budgets, track expenses, prepare financial reports, and support audits to ensure funds are wisely managed.
  • Administration management: Keep office operations and administrative processes running smoothly, including coordinating meetings, managing supplies, and liaising with partners.
  • HR support: Assist in staff recruitment, onboarding, payroll, contracts, and employee records. Support team engagement initiatives.
  • Procedure development & implementation: Help develop and refine RCCam’s procedures and policies, document workflows, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Project support: Assist project teams with operational and financial aspects of activities, including tracking expenses and reporting results.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, prepare regular progress and impact reports, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract for a duration of one (1) year, commencing with a renewable probationary period of four (4) months.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in finance, administration, or related roles.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic accounting software (e.g., Excel).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a small, dynamic team.
  • Fluency in English and/or French; bilingual candidates preferred.
