Poste proposé : Senior Procurement Officer – Yaoundé
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer.
The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance with company policies, and timely delivery. This role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, and overseeing procurement processes to support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with vendors to achieve optimal value
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Prepare procurement reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review
- Collaborate with other departments to understand procurement needs and specifications
- Conduct market research to identify new products, suppliers, and trends
- Manage and mentor junior procurement staff
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and contracts
Profil recherché pour le poste : Senior Procurement Officer – Yaoundé
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (preferred)
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 3 years in a senior role
Skills and Competencies
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Good understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor relations
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills
